The short answer

Use this self-assessment to organize the checks that matter before sharing your page. Mark an item only after checking it yourself. Progress can be saved on this device; the checklist does not scan your page or certify its performance.

No page scanning, account, or certification. Mark each check after reviewing it yourself. Only checked item numbers are saved if you choose to remember progress.

Use the checklist as a record of your review

The checklist above tracks checks you perform yourself. It does not scan your website, certify compliance, submit a form, or prove that a destination received a lead. Mark an item only after you have verified it.

Your progress stays in the current page by default. If you choose to remember progress, the tool stores the checked item numbers in this browser’s local storage. It does not store your page URL, customer data, or a copy of your website. You can reset the list or turn off remembering to remove that saved progress.

Review the offer and evidence first

Read the page as a first-time visitor. Can you tell who it is for, what it offers, and what the main action does? Check prices, availability, qualifications, testimonials, and product capabilities against actual source material.

Pay attention to generated placeholder claims. A convincing customer quote, logo strip, or metric is still false if it was invented. Remove unsupported material before sharing the page publicly.

Test the visible journey

Open the page on a phone and a desktop. Follow the main action, navigate with a keyboard, and check that form fields have useful labels. Look for content that disappears, horizontal scrolling, unreadable text, and controls that cannot be reached.

Try invalid and missing inputs as well as a successful submission. Error messages should tell the visitor how to recover. A success message should describe what has actually happened: an enquiry received is not a confirmed appointment or a completed purchase.

Follow the lead to its destination

For Pageree, use the published URL for the final test. Submit non-sensitive details you control, then check the chosen inbox, spreadsheet, CRM, or automation destination.

Separate three observations: the browser submitted the form, Pageree accepted the lead, and the destination received the intended record. Each can fail independently. A fallback email can help recover an enquiry without proving that the CRM or spreadsheet write succeeded.

If anything is unclear, use the form troubleshooting guide. Keep test records distinguishable from real enquiries and remove them from downstream business reporting where appropriate.

Check the public address and search metadata

Confirm that your intended domain resolves over HTTPS and that the page is publicly accessible. Review the title, description, canonical URL, share image, internal links, and indexing directives.

Inspect the actual public HTML or use an appropriate validation tool. Do not mark metadata as verified only because you requested it in a prompt. The SEO guide explains each check and links to Google’s documentation.

Download a handoff record

The download button creates a plain-text report of checked and unchecked items. It is useful for handing the remaining work to a teammate or keeping a launch note. The report explicitly records a self-assessment; it is not an automated audit result.

If several people review the page, agree who owns each unfinished item. A checked box should have a clear meaning, especially for destination delivery and business claims.

Recheck after meaningful changes

Repeat the relevant checks when you change a form, destination, domain, offer, or major layout. You do not need to rerun an unrelated review after every spelling correction, but a change to form fields should trigger a new destination test.

Use the AI audit guide to investigate issues in more depth and the analytics guide after launch. A completed checklist prepares the page for real visitors; it does not guarantee search rankings or customer acquisition.
