The short answer
Choose a publishing route before asking ChatGPT to build. Sites can host websites; a supported Pageree connection gives ChatGPT landing-page publishing, forms and analytics tools. Account access and workspace permissions determine which route is available.
Choose the publishing route first
ChatGPT can help write copy, plan sections, and create a landing page. The practical question is where that page will live and what processes a visitor’s enquiry. Decide that before asking for the final implementation.
OpenAI’s Sites documentation describes creating and hosting websites, with storage options and traffic analytics. Sites may suit a page you want to manage within that environment. A compatible Pageree connection gives the assistant a separate set of landing-page publishing, form-delivery, and analytics tools. These are alternative workflows; you do not need to combine them just to launch one page.
This guide focuses on the Pageree route. Availability depends on your account, product surface, and workspace policy. Check that the connection can perform write actions before investing time in a publishing workflow. Do not assume a plugin is available simply because another account can use it.
Prepare a brief for a real business task
Pick a clear goal. A founder preparing a new product may need an interest list; a service business may need quote requests; a software team may need demo enquiries. Those pages require different proof, fields, and success messages.
Gather the offer, audience, real evidence, brand materials, and intended lead destination. Use the brief worksheet if your notes are scattered. Avoid putting API keys, passwords, or customer lists in the brief.
For a product that is not ready, use “join the interest list” rather than promising immediate access. The waitlist example shows that distinction in a page layout.
Connect and confirm access
Follow the ChatGPT connection instructions. OpenAI’s current custom MCP testing guidance describes developer mode and adding a connection from the Plugins page; availability can depend on account and workspace policy. Use Pageree’s exact endpoint, https://mcp.pageree.com/, and complete OAuth sign-in.
Start a new conversation with Pageree enabled and ask it to list your pages. Resolve an access error before asking it to publish. If the account only permits read operations, choose a supported route with write access rather than pretending the page has gone live.
Ask for a page with a complete enquiry flow
Use Pageree to help me create a landing page for my business.
Business: [name]
Audience: [specific buyer]
Offer: [what they receive]
Primary action: [join the list / request a quote / request a demo]
Evidence: [real facts, approved work samples, or “ask me”]
Brand: [assets and style constraints]
Ask me for missing facts, the destination for enquiries, and my chosen page address. Follow the relevant Pageree skills. Build a responsive page with a short form, clear labels, privacy information, and useful success/error states. Show me a private preview before publishing. Do not invent proof or configure an external email automation without checking what I use.
Review the proposed structure before the details. For an enquiry page, an understandable offer and a working contact path matter more than extra decorative sections. Ask ChatGPT to explain why each field is needed.
Review, publish, and test
Open the preview and inspect it at a narrow width. Check that the headline explains the offer, links go to the intended place, and the form can be completed without guessing. Replace every placeholder with a real fact or remove the section.
After approving the preview, ask the assistant to publish. Check the actual public URL and send a marked test submission to an inbox you control. Confirm both the page’s response and the delivery receipt. A successful-looking message on the page does not prove an email was sent.
If you already have an HTML file, follow publishing ChatGPT HTML. If the form looks finished but nothing arrives, work through the contact-form diagnosis.
Keep the page useful after the first draft
Tell the assistant when the offer, availability, or business facts change. Use the same page for revisions so the public address and history stay coherent. When enough relevant traffic exists, review the goal and its measurement before making a conversion claim.
Need a more specific request? The prompt library separates writing, form configuration, publication, and analysis into distinct steps you can adapt.
