The short answer

Sites supports hosted websites and applications with storage and analytics; Pageree focuses on assistant-operated landing pages and enquiry delivery. This documentation-based comparison explains the tradeoffs and a common evaluation task without claiming a side-by-side account test.

Choose the workflow you want to operate

ChatGPT Sites and Pageree can both support a business landing page. The useful comparison is how you want to create, publish, collect enquiries, and maintain that page. Sites is a broader hosted website and application environment within ChatGPT. Pageree concentrates on landing-page publishing, form delivery, and page analytics through a connected assistant.

This is a documentation-based comparison, reviewed September 15, 2026. Pageree publishes this guide. We have not run a controlled, side-by-side account test of the same page in both products, so the recommendations below describe fit and the checks you should perform rather than declaring a measured winner.

What the current Sites documentation establishes

OpenAI’s Sites documentation describes hosted sites, optional durable database and file storage, automatic traffic analytics, and custom domains where available. Sites is in public beta with plan-specific limits. Analytics is currently unavailable for Enterprise-owned Sites, and custom domains have a separate Enterprise limitation at launch. Check your account’s current options before treating a feature as available to your workspace.

That means “ChatGPT can only write HTML” is an outdated basis for choosing a host. Sites can publish and support persistent application behavior. For a simple enquiry page, determine what behavior you need and ask for its implementation explicitly. A stored request, an email notification, and a visitor confirmation are separate acceptance checks.

Compare the practical decisions

Decision ChatGPT Sites Pageree
Main scope Hosted websites and web applications Focused landing pages operated through an assistant
Persistent application data Optional database and file storage Accepted form submissions with a 30-day recovery backup; not a general app database
Reviewing changes Save a version before deploying Save a private draft before publishing
Lead workflow Specify and verify the application’s required behavior Configure owner email or a supported HTTP delivery destination
Traffic reporting Unique visitors and page views in the documented analytics view Session-based traffic plus configured goals and section-level behavior
Domain Custom domains where available in the account Connect an owned hostname using returned DNS instructions

Sources for the Sites column are the official Sites guide; Pageree’s column describes its current publishing and form workflow. These are different measurement definitions and data models, so avoid comparing dashboard percentages without establishing matching denominators.

Work through a consultant’s actual brief

Suppose a fictional operations consultant wants a page for a process-review engagement. The page needs a clear offer, a scope explanation, and a form asking for name, email, and the process that needs attention. The owner wants an email and will arrange a call manually.

With Sites, ask for that full visitor and owner workflow, specify whether requests should be stored, and inspect the resulting implementation and access settings. With Pageree, ask the connected assistant to create a private page draft and configure form delivery to the chosen inbox. Neither route should claim that a meeting is booked when the visitor merely submits an enquiry.

Use the same acceptance task for both: submit a marked test from the public destination, receive the full message, correct the service description, publish the approved change, and confirm that the form still works. This is a proposed evaluation procedure, not an account test completed for this article.

Compare the total operating cost

For Sites, verify the current ChatGPT plan, beta limits, and any external service needed by the chosen implementation. For Pageree, check current pricing, the number of pages required, and any third-party automation charges. A domain registration can be a separate cost in either route.

Include the work required to maintain the page. Who responds when a form destination changes? Who reviews a generated code change? Does the owner prefer working in ChatGPT’s Sites management view or asking a connected assistant to operate a focused page? Those questions matter more than counting how many seconds a first preview took.

When each route makes sense

Consider Sites when the project needs broader interactive behavior, saved records, or an experience you want to manage within ChatGPT. Confirm that the intended application fits its current runtime and permitted uses. Consider Pageree when the task is a focused public landing page with a managed enquiry workflow and you want to continue operating it through a supported assistant.

If randomized traffic-split testing is essential, Pageree does not currently provide it. Evaluate a product that supports that requirement rather than treating sequential page versions as an experiment.

Start with the ChatGPT landing-page guide to prepare the brief. Then follow the email delivery guide for Pageree’s owner-notification route, or use the consultant template as a concrete common task for your own comparison.
