**The short answer.** A quote page trades a little visitor effort for a better estimate. Ask for the job, location, scope, timing, and a reply address only where those facts affect the quote. Explain that the submission is an enquiry and what happens next.

## The template example

An interactive example of this page is at https://pageree.com/templates/request-a-quote-landing-page/#template-example. Its demo form runs in the browser and collects nothing. The business is fictional.

- Brand: North & Co.
- Eyebrow: YOUR NEXT PROJECT
- Headline: Tell us the job. We’ll talk through the scope.
- Description: Share the essentials so the first conversation can focus on what your project needs.
- Benefits: Describe the work; Share the timing and location; Agree on a useful next step
- Form field: Project scope and timing
- Call to action: Request an estimate
- Note: Submitting this enquiry is not an accepted quote or a confirmed booking.

## Collect a useful project enquiry

A quote request page should help a prospect explain the work and understand how you estimate it. The fictional North & Co example is a project enquiry, not an instant price calculator.

Lead with the service, the customer you serve, and the scope you can handle. Explain whether the quote follows an email exchange, a call, or a site visit. If an estimate may change after inspection, make the distinction visible.

## Give the prospect enough context

Include typical project types, what is included, meaningful exclusions, and the information needed for an estimate. Show real examples where you have permission. If you publish starting prices, explain the assumptions behind them and what can change the total.

Avoid using a very low headline price that does not describe a realistic available service. When pricing depends heavily on scope, a clear process is more useful than a misleading number.

## Design the form around your estimating process

| Field | Recommendation |
| --- | --- |
| Name and email | Required so you can respond |
| Project description | Required, with a helpful example prompt |
| Location | Ask only when service coverage affects the work |
| Desired timing | Distinguish a preference from a guaranteed date |
| Budget range | Optional unless it is essential for fit |
| Relevant links | Optional; use links rather than promising unsupported uploads |

Keep the language approachable. “What would you like us to help with?” can be easier to answer than “Provide a full specification.” Tell visitors which details are helpful without making the form feel like an application.

## Copy this build prompt

```text
Create a quote request page for [business and service].
Customers: [who we serve]. Coverage: [actual locations or remote scope].
Typical projects: [examples]. Exclusions: [limits].
Estimating process: [review / call / visit, and real response timing].
Pricing information we can publish: [facts or leave out].
Include the service promise, project types, scope, estimating steps,
real evidence, FAQ, and a project enquiry form.
Ask for name, email, project description, and desired timing.
Add [location / budget / links] only where needed.
Button: "Request a quote". Explain that this submits an enquiry,
not a confirmed job, binding estimate, payment, or booking.
Create a private Pageree draft. Configure the approved lead destination.
Show me the page and form before publishing.
```

## Prepare the response process

Decide who reviews requests and which details they need to ask for next. A reply template can acknowledge the scope, explain missing information, and state the next step. It should not promise an estimate that the team has not prepared.

If enquiries go to a spreadsheet or CRM, verify that long project descriptions arrive intact. Test punctuation, line breaks, and optional empty fields. Avoid asking people to submit passwords, payment card details, or confidential documents through a general lead form.

## Test before launch

Use a realistic sample project in the public form. Confirm the visible success state and the actual destination record. Then follow the response process yourself to find missing context.
