**The short answer.** Offer one specific resource and explain what is inside it. Decide how the visitor receives it before publishing: an accessible download or a configured email service. Pageree's email notification to the owner is not a subscriber autoresponder.

## The template example

An interactive example of this page is at https://pageree.com/templates/lead-magnet-landing-page/#template-example. Its demo form runs in the browser and collects nothing. The business is fictional.

- Brand: Field Notes
- Eyebrow: A PRACTICAL DOWNLOAD
- Headline: Plan your next offer before you build the page.
- Description: A short worksheet for the buyer, promise, proof, and next action. Use it to turn scattered notes into a useful brief.
- Benefits: Define the buyer; Make the offer specific; Choose one useful action
- Form field: Email for the resource
- Call to action: Request the worksheet
- Note: Configure resource delivery separately before promising an emailed download.

## Make the resource worth the request

A lead magnet page offers a useful resource in exchange for a contact action. The fictional Field Notes example is a guide request. Your page should describe a real resource that is ready to deliver.

A narrow checklist, worksheet, or worked example is easier to explain than a broad “ultimate guide.” State who it helps, what problem it addresses, and what someone can do after using it. Include an excerpt or preview so visitors can judge the value before submitting.

## Choose how delivery works

There are three common flows: an ungated download link, a form followed by a resource link, or a form followed by an email sent through an external workflow. Choose the simplest one that meets your purpose.

Pageree's lead notification to your inbox is not a subscriber autoresponder. If the page promises an email with a download, connect a separate email workflow and verify it. Host the resource at an existing accessible URL; do not assume a page's image asset workflow provides general PDF hosting.

## Explain the exchange clearly

| Page element | What it should answer |
| --- | --- |
| Headline | What useful thing will I receive? |
| Preview | Is it relevant and concrete? |
| Format | PDF, spreadsheet, video, or another actual format? |
| Form | What information must I provide? |
| Delivery note | Where and when will it arrive? |
| Email explanation | Will there be any additional messages? |

Ask for email and only the extra fields you will use. Do not bundle an unclear ongoing newsletter promise into a resource request. Describe the intended communications and configure consent according to your requirements.

## Copy this build prompt

```text
Create a resource request landing page for [resource title].
Audience: [who it helps].
Problem solved: [specific task].
Contents: [real sections or worksheet parts].
Format and length: [facts].
Preview material: [excerpt or image I own].
Resource URL: [existing hosted file or page].
Delivery flow: [immediate link / verified external email workflow].
Include a focused hero, a preview, the contents, who it is for,
and a short form. Explain delivery and any further emails honestly.
Do not invent download counts, reviews, or outcomes.
Do not claim email automation is configured without checking it.
Use Pageree to create a private draft, configure form delivery,
and show me the complete journey before publishing.
```

## Review the resource as well as the page

Open the file from a signed-out browser. Check that a visitor does not need access to your private drive or workspace. Verify the mobile reading experience and any links inside the resource. A polished landing page cannot compensate for a broken download.

If you update the file later, keep its URL stable where possible or update the page and automation together. Remove expired offers from both places.

## Decide what success means

Downloads show interest in the resource, which may differ from interest in your paid service. Review whether recipients fit your intended audience and whether the next step is useful to them.

Test the public form and the complete delivery path with an address you control. Use the [form-to-email guide](https://pageree.com/guides/landing-page-form-to-email/) for notifications and the [launch checklist](https://pageree.com/tools/landing-page-launch-checklist/) to record what you have verified. A [consultation page](https://pageree.com/templates/consultation-landing-page/) can be a suitable next step when the resource naturally leads to a conversation.
