**The short answer.** Ask for the measurement window, session count, conversion goal, and version before interpreting percentages. Use traffic to understand who arrived and section data to form a hypothesis. A before/after change can guide work, but it does not prove causation.

## Define a result before reading a percentage

“How is my page doing?” is a useful question only when success is defined. A contact-page enquiry, a demo request, and a click to an external scheduler are different actions. A button click is not a completed booking; an accepted form submission is not a paying customer.

Ask the assistant to identify the conversion goal before interpreting the report. Pageree can report page traffic, configured goals, and section-level behavior. Its traffic visits are sessions, not deduplicated people. Use the same definition and period when comparing numbers.

If the page has not received relevant visitors yet, start with an [inspection audit](https://pageree.com/guides/ai-landing-page-audit/). No data is not a measured zero-percent performance result.

## Ask for context with the report

```text
Review the analytics for this published Pageree page.
First state the page, live version, measurement window, device segment, session count, and conversion goal. Separate page-wide traffic from version-specific behavioral data. Explain any missing data or aggregation delay.
Then identify one observation supported by the report, one possible explanation, and one useful next check. Do not infer causation from a before/after comparison or recommend a rewrite from a tiny sample.
```

Pageree's reports are aggregated, so a test visit may not appear immediately. Traffic and behavioral sections also have different scopes. Ask the assistant to keep those scopes visible rather than combining every number into one invented funnel.

## Read traffic before changing the page

Traffic helps establish who arrived and from where. A page intended for business owners might receive visits from a developer community. A campaign might attract mostly mobile visitors while the page was reviewed only on a wide monitor. Those situations suggest different next checks.

Review sources, devices, and the period before deciding the headline is responsible for a weak result. Changes in acquisition can alter conversion even when the page remains identical. The [business-validation guide](https://pageree.com/guides/validate-business-idea-landing-page/) explains how to keep the audience and offer explicit.

Do not assume that a source label proves every visitor from that source is qualified. It is a clue to investigate, not a customer profile.

## Use section data to form a hypothesis

Section-level clicks, exits, and time distribution can help identify where to inspect. They are not a recording of what a visitor thought. Time in a section may mean interest, confusion, or distraction. A large share of exits near the end may be expected for a single-page experience.

Consider this **illustrative example**, not a Pageree customer result: a page has a lengthy service description before its enquiry form. The report shows many exits around that description. The useful hypothesis is that the service or its fit may be unclear. The next step could be a readability review or a short conversation with a potential customer, rather than immediately deleting the section.

Keep the reasoning explicit:

```text
Observation: [what the report actually shows]
Possible explanation: [one hypothesis]
Alternative explanation: [another plausible cause]
Next check: [how we can distinguish them]
Proposed change: [one specific edit, if justified]
```

## Compare versions carefully

If you change a page and later see a different conversion rate, the edit is one possible explanation. The source mix, weekday, season, offer, device mix, or random variation may also have changed. Sequential version comparisons are not randomized A/B tests.

Pageree does not currently provide traffic-split experiments. Ask the assistant to say that clearly when discussing evidence. Small samples deserve especially cautious language; there is no universal session threshold that makes every conversion decision reliable.

Make one interpretable change where possible, preserve the version, and write down the reason. The [conversion diagnosis](https://pageree.com/guides/landing-page-not-converting/) helps choose what to check before editing.

## Turn the report into a next action

A useful review ends with a decision: fix a broken form, clarify one promise, inspect mobile behavior, talk to customers, or gather more relevant traffic. “Improve conversion” is an objective, not an action.

Review the preview before publishing a change. After publication, verify the functional behavior again, especially if the form or CTA changed. Reliable operation is a prerequisite for learning from the next set of visits.
